Mission Statement
Magnet High School PSA is a local organization of parents and legal guardians of students, in the Union County Vocational-Technical Schools (UCVTS) district in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Membership is available to all parents and guardians at all times throughout the school year.
MHS PSA OBJECTIVES:
- To create a collaborative organization where parents, teachers, and administrators work together to enhance the educational experiences and benefit the Magnet High School community.
- To provide financial support for academic and enrichment activities beyond the annual school budget.
- To promote and foster better communication with students’ families, increasing parent volunteerism and involvement.
- To support the Project Graduation Committee in celebrating and honoring our graduating seniors.
Some examples of what the MHS PSA does:
- Supports the annual welcome back picnic for all students
- Donates to Relay for Life and dances for all students
- Sells Spirit Wear merchandise
- Hosts teacher appreciation lunches and welcome back breakfast
- Provides ice pops for all students and staff on field day
- Hosts junior/senior breakfast
- Offers Thanksgiving food donations for families need
- Sponsors annual scholarships
