Mission Statement

Magnet High School PSA is a local organization of parents and legal guardians of students, in the Union County Vocational-Technical Schools (UCVTS) district in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. Membership is available to all parents and guardians at all times throughout the school year.

 

PSA Objectives

A)  To provide an organization through which parents, teachers and administrators can work cooperatively to enhance educational experiences.

B)  To provide financial support for academic and enrichment activities outside of the annual school budget.

C)  To promote and foster better communication with students’ families and increase parent volunteerism and involvement. 

D)  To support the Project Graduation Committee for graduating seniors.

 

Some examples of what the MHS PSA does:

  • Supports the annual welcome back picnic for all students
  • Donates to Relay for Life and dances for all students
  • Sells ‘spirit’ merchandise 
  • Hosts teacher appreciation lunches and welcome back breakfast
  • Provides ice pops for all students and staff on field day 
  • Hosts junior/senior breakfast
  • Offers Thanksgiving food donations for families need
  • Sponsors annual scholarships
